Digital Jamath is open-source jamath software on Frappe and ERPNext. You keep double-entry, roles, and an audit trail. On top, you get DocTypes and submit-time validators for Zakat isolation, household census, Friday Chanda, and a member portal. Generic company ERP was not designed for that work.
Isolate restricted funds
Zakat, Sadaqah, Construction, and General stay in separate Baitul Maal funds. Restricted money cannot be journaled into forbidden uses on submit.
Census by household
Primary member as the contact, family on the household card, membership IDs for outreach and Zakat eligibility.
Portal with dignity
OTP login for families, receipts and service tickets from the phone, welfare without beneficiary names on public boards.
Locale packs when needed
India committees get 80G-style receipts and Form 10BD CSV. Jamaths elsewhere use the same ledger without that pack.

What is Digital Jamath?
Digital Jamath is open-source software for jamaths, masjids, and Muslim welfare organisations. It is a custom app on Frappe and ERPNext 15, shaped for household census, Shariah-aware Baitul Maal, receipts and compliance, service tickets, and a member portal. Community Edition is MIT-licensed.
Why Frappe and ERPNext?
Frappe and ERPNext give a proven double-entry ledger, roles, and audit trail. Digital Jamath is a custom app on that stack, not a generic company ERP with a masjid skin. It adds household census, Shariah fund locks for Zakat and Sadaqah, Chanda, India 80G and Form 10BD packs, and a member OTP portal. Committees keep ERP discipline in jamath language.
How is Digital Jamath different from generic ERPNext?
Generic ERPNext models companies, customers, and sales. Digital Jamath models jamaths: households with a primary member, Baitul Maal fund types that block forbidden journals on submit, Friday Chanda, welfare without public beneficiary boards, and a member portal. The ledger stays audit-grade; the DocTypes and validators speak jamath work.
What does Shariah compliance mean here?
In Baitul Maal, restricted funds such as Zakat are isolated by fund type. Submit-time checks block journals that would move restricted money into forbidden uses. That is product enforcement, not a fatwa. Local scholars still guide your jamath’s policies.
Is Digital Jamath free?
Community Edition is free forever when you self-host. Digital Jamath Cloud is optional paid hosting and support: a 3-month free pilot, then plans from ₹999/month based on household count.
What license should I care about?
Our Community Edition app is MIT (same family as Frappe Framework). The stack also includes ERPNext, which is GPL-3. That is normal for ERPNext apps. We do not use AGPL. You can self-host, fork, and export; Cloud does not lock the software.
What is a household for pricing?
A household is one primary member (head of family) plus their family members. Cloud plans are billed by household count, not by every individual.
How do I try it before signing up?
Open the live demo at app.digitaljamath.com/login or the portal login, or use the published Demo Jamath credentials. When ready, submit Start free pilot on the homepage or /cloud. We onboard pilots personally. No credit card required.
