## Why Frappe and ERPNext (not generic SaaS)

Digital Jamath keeps the audit-grade double-entry ledger, roles, and audit trail from Frappe and ERPNext, then ships jamath DocTypes and submit-time validators. Generic company ERP was not designed for Zakat isolation, Friday Chanda, or household-first membership.

1. Shariah-aware Baitul Maal: Zakat, Sadaqah, Construction, and General stay separated; restricted funds cannot be journaled into forbidden uses on submit.
2. Household census: primary member as contact, family on the card, membership IDs for outreach and eligibility.
3. Member dignity: OTP portal; welfare without publishing beneficiary names on public boards.
4. Locale packs: India 80G-style receipts and Form 10BD CSV when needed; same ledger elsewhere without that pack.
